T. STACY WOOD, M.D.
Stacy
Wood, M.D. attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, and
completed his medical training at Texas Tech University School of
Medicine. After completing his internship at Methodist Medical Center
in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Wood completed a one year research fellowship at
UT Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Wood then completed an
Ophthalmology residency program at Parkland Memorial Hospital. He then
received specialized training at Moorefields Eye Hospital in London,
England.
Dr. Wood serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor with the
Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern
Medical School. He is Board certified and licensed in Texas. He has
staff privileges at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, Columbia Medical
Center of McKinney, Columbia Medical Center of Plano, Parkland Memorial
Hospital, Park Central Surgical Center, Precision Laser, and Walnut
Hill Surgery Center. He is a member of the American Academy of
Ophthalmology, Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology, the Texas Medical
Association, and the American Society of Cataract & Refractive
Surgeons.
Dr. Wood specializes in cataract and refractive surgery utilizing NO NEEDLE, NO STITCH, NO PATCH refractive cataract surgery with the latest intraocular implants including Crystalens, ReStor and TORIC implants for
nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. Dr. Wood takes
refractive surgery to the next step combining cataract surgery and
refractive surgery to optimize the visual result. Having undergone
LASIK himself, Dr. Wood has personally experienced the benefits of life
without glasses or contacts. Dr. Wood's goal is to provide a surgical
alternative to glasses or contacts whether the patient is having
refractive surgery or cataract surgery.
